What you can set
- Language: TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Java, Kotlin, Swift, Go, Rust, C, C++, C#, PHP, Ruby, Bash, HTML, CSS, SCSS, JSON, YAML, SQL, Markdown and more.
- Theme: any of the 24 Codigrate themes, dark and light.
- Backdrop: the gradient of the theme, a solid color, or none for a transparent picture.
- Padding, window bar, title and line numbers.
Prettify formats TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, YAML and Markdown in one click before the picture is made. Download the picture as a PNG at 1x, 2x or 3x and put it in a post, a slide or a chat, and see how it reads to people with each color vision deficiency.
How it works
Your code, in the colors of a real editor theme, as a picture you can post anywhere
Paste a snippet, pick its language and one of the 24 Codigrate themes, and the page draws your code the way the theme colors it in an editor: keywords, strings, functions, types and comments each in their own color, on a rounded editor over the gradient of the theme. Choose the backdrop, the padding, the window bar with a title, and line numbers.
The picture is drawn on a canvas in your browser, so your code is never uploaded. Download it as a PNG at 1x, 2x or 3x, sharp on any screen, and put it in a post, a slide or a chat. Every theme here is a full editor theme too: get the same colors in JetBrains IDEs and VS Code.
Questions
- Which languages are supported?
- TypeScript, JavaScript, TSX, JSX, Python, Java, Kotlin, Swift, Go, Rust, C, C++, C#, PHP, Ruby, Bash, HTML, CSS, SCSS, JSON, YAML, SQL and Markdown. Pick the language of your snippet and it is highlighted as you type.
- Is my code uploaded anywhere?
- No. The code is highlighted and drawn in your browser, and the PNG is made on your device. Nothing you paste leaves the page.
- How do I get a transparent background?
- Set Backdrop to None. The picture is then only the rounded editor, with transparent corners, ready to sit on any slide or page.
- Can I use the images in my posts and projects?
- Yes. Every picture you make is yours to use, for personal and commercial work, with no sign in, no watermark and no attribution needed.
